(hard? difficult? politics?)</li>\n<li>what is your definition of life? family? fulfillment?</li>\n<li>disruption + time poverty - not “work-life balance”</li>\n<li>rather work-life integration can equal abundance &amp; fulfillment</li>\n<li>“don’t take, bring” - bring is about the starting point</li>\n<li>take is about the destination</li>\n<li>Perspectives matter</li>\n<li>it is about relationships and connection: YOU AND ME - pain experienced in the brain when social hurt is experienced (same as physical pain)</li>\n<li>pleasure experienced in the brain when social joy is experienced (sam as physical pleasure)</li>\n<li>we seek what makes us feel good</li>\n<li>binding force - proton and neutron held together in center of atom with immense power</li>\n<li>connections are at the core of our being</li>\n<li>it’s about building relationships and supporting others</li>\n<li>not a strategy but a perspective</li>\n<li>purpose (we want to build cathedrals and not just laying bricks) - sense of something bigger than self</li>\n<li>we matter to the bigger thing</li>\n<li>about people (people will trade salary for purpose)</li>\n<li>“Find what you are good at and do that”</li>\n<li>People AND Organizations - <a href=\"http://www.state.gov/m/a/os/65759.htm\">Chinese character</a>: to listen with a virtuous heart</li>\n<li>pay close attention to one another</li>\n<li>children spell love as T.I.M.E.</li>\n<li>to go fast, go alone. to go far, go together</li>\n<li>people who are most engaged are recognized by leader and encouraged by leader</li>\n<li>people who are most disengaged are ignored by their leader</li>\n<li>listen deeply, share openly, respect unfailingly</li>\n<li>Know AND Do - action is the key</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=H3045\">yada</a>: hebrew for to know and do</li>\n<li>The best time to plant a tree 20 years ago, the 2nd best time to plant a tree is today</li>\n</ul><p><em>Categories: Learning · Tags: tedxmac2015 · Originally published on stephen.braunius.org</em></p>","content_text":"Karoshi : Japanese word meaning death from overwork\n\nmany people have negative spillover between work and life\n\npeople are stressed at work across all generations\n\nwhat is your definition of work?
